A career in the printing industry has enabled me to learn, adapt and utilize a variety of skills, a range of technical and practical knowledge of software and equipment.
From the days of phototypesetting to computer to plate, I have touched nearly every area an operator and technical person could do so. Proofreader, typesetter, page layout artist, camera operator, plate maker, digital press operator, wide format operator, prepress and preflight technician, digital archivist, variable data composer, bindery, direct mail, bag and bundle, Adobe applications, Microsoft Office, Prinergy, and much more.
Basic Graphic Design courses, Art History
Full time I-Jet Color printer operator. Used Navigator RIP/Server software and Adobe Acrobat to send pdfs to I-jet and M1 Color inkjet printers. Produced envelopes of various sizes and letterhead.
Used Mac/PC prepress capabilities to manipulate and modify client files whenever required, from resizing to converting CMYK to Spot colours for the I-Jet printer.
From the early 1980's I began my career in printing and made it my goal to learn, experience, acquire and apply all the knowledge and insight gained over the decades to be as capable as my peers.
